For the love of all that is holy, we’re going to beg you to not do an HDR portrait. Indeed, the new additions are most targeted at landscape, architecture and Real Estate photographers. Obviously, Adobe incorporated these new features in because photographers demanded them. This makes that type of editing very simple for landscape shooters. The new changes come in when you open a gradient–which then gives you the option of using a brush to fine tune your changes manually and without the use of content aware fill or the magic wand/lasso that some of you are probably so used to using in Adobe Photoshop.Īdditionally if you highlight two images (read, select) you can then right click where you get two new options under Photo Merge: HDR and Panorama. – Music based Slideshow Transitions Slideshows that Pan & Zoomįor the most part, Adobe Lightroom CC and Adobe Lightroom 6 look very much like Adobe Lightroom 5. – Faster GPU performance of image editing Graph taken from the Adobe Press Deck – Facial recognition: Lightroom now recognizes faces but will keep that private unless you consciously want to integrate that information into the image. If you’re a landscape photographer, the upgrade to Lightroom 6 seems like a no brainer and if you’re a pro, the CC upgrade just makes so much sense. Adobe Lightroom CC is also included in the Photography package for $9.99/month. New to Adobe Lightroom are four big features: enhanced performance for the editing of all RAW file types, a new filter brush that works in conjunction with gradients, HDR merge, Panoramic merge, and a couple of new additions for folks that make slideshows such as syncing to music and changing the pace of the image progression to the beat of the music.Īll of these features are standard to Adobe Lightroom 6 and Adobe Lightroom CC’s major differences come with its integration with the Creative Cloud and with Lightroom Mobile for iPad and Android. This is one for those who like classic chocolate flavours, for those looking for something a little different or for those who like a little aeration to their flavours. In the end it’s a good mix between novelty and quality execution, it’s unrefined, but consistent, it’s expressive, but mild and balanced and it’s clearly still chocolate. It’s a fairly archetypal expression, it tastes like chocolate without being described as chocolatey and it’s almost nostalgic, not that I ever remember eating chocolate this rustic as a child. There’s initial flavours of demerara sugar that open into earthy/smoky cocoa flavours, before some fruity cherry characteristics come on with an alcoholic and dark aged tone of cherry brandy, before finally settling into some dark roasted coffee in the finish. To taste this chocolate is far softer and more balanced than I had expected, there’s a subtlety to the flavour that’s unexpected given the unrefined nature of the chocolate. Placing a piece in my mouth the chocolate is clearly unrefined, but the aeration and the granularity is very even and while rough the chocolate is also a little buttery, it’s a bit like rolling unmixed butter cream around in your mouth. Breaking off a piece reveals fragrant aromas of cherry pomace and notes of red grape and papaya before turning into caramelised sugar with a certain cakiness to it. Opening the packaging I’m presented with a round disc, with 8 segments and a glossy finish. I have tried raw cacao liquor before and I’ve tried Soma’s Old Skool Madagascan, which has similarly unrefined qualities, so I’m a little prepared as to what to expect, but I’m hoping for full flavour and honest expression over mouthfeel and balance in this particular case. This leads me to believe that not only will the expression of flavour in this bar be more individual, more honest and of a higher quality owing to the higher quality of beans being used, but that it’s also likely to be intense, acidic, fruity and well, unrefined. On top of that they have a very distinctive method of making the chocolate using traditional Mexican stone ground methods, which give a more rustic feel to the bar and the lack of refining and conching also leads to a higher retention of fruit, acidity and volatile flavours. With that said Taza chocolate only source their cocoa from Finca Elvesia and OKO Caribe in the Dominican Republic and they pay a premium price to do so. Flavoursome maybe, but rarely refined or dimensioned. My experience so far has been of a chocolate that expresses dark cocoa and earthy tones, but with a propensity for red berry notes when it’s at its best. ![]() ![]() I’ve tried a lot of chocolate from the Dominican Republic, but often from non craft chocolate makers and usually in cheap bars or at higher percentages. In the end, many of the characters never progress beyond basic stereotypes: Cosmo is The Teen Pilot, Deck is The Annoying Sidekick, Kasha is The Girl Who Yells A Lot, Karala is The Alien Woman Who Falls in Forbidden Love With The Enemy, and so forth. The plot certainly sounded interesting, with alien invasions, a powerful robot, and fugitives forced to flee their planet and fight the aliens. Now, this show did have some potential to be good. I could have sworn I checked that, but obviously I didn't. erm, eagle-eyed reader reminded me that Ideon does actually predate Macross by around two years. With a length of 39 episodes, we estimate that around half of it is just really, really goofy sci-fi that tries very hard to be Macross to a certain extent. To the show's defense, it takes quite a few episodes for the warning bells to REALLY start chiming. A very doinky kind of special, if you catch my drift. before we set out on this particular journey. ![]() That being said, we already knew Space Runaway Ideon was going to be something. The plot of the game is inspired by vintage science fiction movies from the 1950s and is presented in the form of short black-and-white movie clips (shot using miniatures and live action actors), which play at the beginning and the end of each level. In addition to armed satellites, the player can also deploy unarmed satellites, which can, among other things, generate money for buying more satellites, repair other satellites or slow down nearby enemies. Destroying all enemies efficiently usually requires the player to reposition their existing satellites so that they can reach new waves of enemies, which can take different paths to the base. The player can also rotate an orbit to move all satellites in it to a new position. To accomplish this, the player must deploy various types of armed satellites, which can be placed in predefined slots on different orbits around the base.
